Hi everyone! I have been approached a couple of times about Pretty Pretty Planner (PPP) users who created a complementary or add-in sheet to use along with the official inserts from my blog, and wanted to know if I would like to share it with my followers.
Given the issues I have had with stealing of my planners in the past, initially I wasn’t sure how to feel about these requests. After all, my original intention was to make the Pretty Pretty Planner free and as customizable as possible, to suit everybody and anybody’s needs (which is why I used to offer the modifiable Word documents as well as PDFs). But at the same time, while I am all for sharing and promoting the Pretty Pretty Planner, I wasn’t sure how comfortable I would be with people potentially saying their creations were “part” of the Pretty Pretty Planner system.
But I gave it some thought, and I think that as long as these Pretty Pretty Planner friends provide proper source credit and linkage back to this blog AND use it for personal use only, then I’m all for sharing some of these fun complementary additions with everyone. I think the key to my comfort is that it is truly an add-on/complement and not a REPLACEMENT – as in, not an alternate version of the “official” monthly or weekly planner system, which I would have more reservations about approving.
In a great example of this, I was contacted recently by Alison Innes, a Pretty Pretty Planner user who just needed a couple of extra add-ins giving her more room for daily notes to make her PPP system perfect. She wanted her creations to match the regular monthly/weekly planner pages (which I TOTALLY understand), and communicated with me to see if I’d mind if she shared them as “PPP additions”. Which first of all, I LOVE that she cared enough to ask how I felt first. Thanks Alison!! And secondly I really approve of how she phrased the linkage back in her post ‘Getting Organized, 2019 Style‘ – it’s a perfect model of how to provide this linkage/credit as well as providing her own download terms. Her add-in sheets complement the PPP and are even in the same colors!! A sample of her “ppp-day-a-page-letter” notes pages that have all the PPP colors to match the monthly/weekly planner pages:
Please check out her blog post for more info.
I love this idea of shared Pretty Pretty Planner fan-created “additions”, and eventually may create a whole new section of this blog to showcase them. If anybody else has anything similar they’d be interested in sharing, please feel free to contact me!
Some of you creative Pretty Pretty Planner users have requested the color codes to make matching stickers or whatnot – so at long last, here you go! Hex codes thanks to this handy website I found, and RGB codes on hover/click. This has been the Pretty Pretty Planner’s color palette since it was first released back in 2015. ♥
New today is a Pretty Pretty Planner version in letter size with empty columns – no boxes or timeslots or checklists! You can use stickers to decorate and add your own scheduling, or draw in your own lines (or use washi tape), and create sections for kids, projects, classes, whatever. Sunday start only right now, this version for some strange reason really gave my Microsoft Word some conniption fits. You can find the download link at the bottom of the list on the Letter size planner page. Let me know if you like it!
Hi all – remember that human error aspect I mentioned in my last post? Here it kicks in haha, as one of the Pretty Pretty Planner’s users pointed out that there was no May 23rd in the Junior size regular planner. I checked and verily it is true, May 23rd is missing and May 30th was on there twice. This was only an issue in the regular Junior PPP and the Big Boxes versions – the Hourly and other versions are fine.
So if you’ve already downloaded these versions, please go re-download so you get the corrected version – my apologies for any inconvenience!
If you spot any other issues, please keep reporting them.
In other news, the Junior Horizontal version is now available also:
Thanks to you all for waiting so patiently, once again the process of updating took me waaaaaay longer than I anticipated. Every year I grumble to myself that updating these takes sooooooo long and is so much manual work (seriously, every date in every version is hand input, there are no fancy scripts populating these dates for me, it’s all Microsoft Word with 100% chance of human mistakes haha), and every year I do it anyways and then by the very end, am always glad I did. But they are also still free! So thanks to all the Pretty Pretty Planner fans who keep me going when updating these!
So here we are, better late than never (still just 8pm NYE in my part of the world haha!). The 2019 PDFs have been uploaded, and like last year’s no editable Word documents will be made available. If you are new to the Pretty Pretty Planner, PLEASE read the printing instructions on each page (Letter and Junior), as it answers all you need to know on how to duplex or stack your paper when printing these – particularly for the Junior size planners.
The PDFs are password protected against any alterations – all you can do with them is download them with an Adobe Acrobat X compatible or higher version reader, and print. Any other PDF programs or older versions of Acrobat may not read the document correctly or allow it to open. You do not need the password to open and print these PDFs (I will not be distributing the password).
Downloading is again through MediaFire – as soon as I can find a better (or real grown-up host), I will move them, but until then it’s worked for this long.
Note: Three templates did not get updated this time around – they may be updated at a later time if there is enough demand, I just wanted to post what I could as soon as I could: the Junior Horizontal, Junior PPP_BW version, and Letter size PPP_BW version.
As always, if you find any errors or typos, please let me know! I will try to correct and re-upload as soon as possible.
Happy New Year!!
Hey everyone. Just wanted to drop a quick note saying, yes, I AM still alive, even though this blog certainly hasn’t been (bah-dum-dum haha – sorry about that). And yes, there will be 2019 Pretty Pretty Planner pages! I haven’t even started them yet, but the plan is to get started in the next week, and it might take a couple of weeks to finish. So estimated end of Sept/early Oct. I know that’s late for you academic year planners, so my bad. I do however have some ideas for a school planner to maybe make it up for you, so will make another post on that this weekend probably, to get some ideas and inspiration.
I also have a few emails that I need to respond to – sorry about the delay in those too! I will get to them as soon as I can.
Thanks all for your continued enthusiasm about the Pretty Pretty Planner. ♥
