Mini Happy Planner Proof of Concept

I think I finally have a reasonable template for a Mini Happy Planner sized version of the Pretty Pretty Planner! I love this size – smaller and more portable than the Junior/half-page size, and more bag friendly! Perfect for taking everywhere, bullet journaling, planning, whatever. But sizing was tricky….. It will require 3 cuts to the paper. In order to get the printing to work and have one side line up with the other when it’s flipped over, I had to pad a lot of extra space in the middle of my regular 8.5×11 sheet of paper. Since the pages are roughly 7×4.7ish – each page printed on 8.5×11 paper would then have to have 1.5″ trimmed off the bottom, and then 1.5″ in the middle (or fold it in half and take 0.75″ from the edge).

So it would be time intensive to trim down. I’m not sure of a better way to accomplish the same thing.

The second downside is that in this much smaller workspace the weekends unfortunately get abbreviated even more. But to not abbreviate them means super narrow tiny columns to fit 7 on two pages, so tiny that I wouldn’t personally want to use it because I HATE cramped layouts, so then what’s the point?

That all being said, it looks pretty good so far I think.

It’s a proof that it’s possible a layout with vertical boxes! Loved it!

Thanks! I am excited to see it in color. Just have to work out the monthly calendar next.
