Trading in the Cube …

When I change jobs next Monday, I’ll be trading in my current Cube for other, different Cubes. Such is the life of a government accountant. If you’ve ever wondered where cube dwellers live, here you go!

My desk is right near this wall.

Such exciting decor, I will be so sad to see it go 😀

Not a bad elevator lobby, but still as plain as plain can be.

This one is titled “Due To Massive Congressional Budget Cuts All Of Our Institutional Knowledge Is Walking Out The Door And We Aren’t Backfilling Any Positions.” It’s a long title.

But on the plus side, being here for 7 years meant I had the seniority to get a window seat. On the 24th floor, that’s pretty desirable. Looks like a beautiful day in downtown Denver.

““Due To Massive Congressional Budget Cuts All Of Our Institutional Knowledge Is Walking Out The Door And We Aren’t Backfilling Any Positions.”” Boy, don’t I know it! I’m a retired Federal Employee. A VA hospital in which I worked went through a RIF (Reduction in Force…. it literally takes an act of Congress) about 20 years ago and lost SO MUCH institutional knowledge the HR and Fiscal services could hardly function!
